So, I keep getting confused about names of different plants.

So thought of putting a list together :) Tagara....One of the most common flowering shrubs in the Indian subcontinent.

Use

Decoctions of the root, seed or fruit can be used as antihelmintic to expel parasitic worms or for alleviating diarrhea. Fruit decoction can also be used for gargling. The fruits are also used to combat nephritis. Leaves can be used to relieve pain caused by fever. The roots are used to treat rheumatism.

Plant ( Root, Leaves, Flowers) pacifies vitiated pitta, skin diseases, colic, flatulence, diarrhea, indigestion, ulcers, wounds, and used as antiseptic.

Remarks  Red, yellow, orange & pink flowers. Need a lot of sunlight.

Use

It is used as a remedy for whooping cough, inflamed mucous membrane, for chronic inflammation of the skin, Sprains, Coughs, colds, fevers, jaundice, chest diseases and rheumatism. The decoction of the leaves and stems, used externally, is an excellent wash for eczema or chronic inflammation of the skin. It’s a good mouth wash for ulcers of the mouth.

Remarks

Flower color ranges from white to yellow, orange to red, pink to rose in unlimited combinations, in addition the flowers usually change in color as they age.
